Dear PERSON Reading this,

So this year, I've decided to face my fears. I've decided that I don't want to miss out on anymore opportunities because I'm scared. Because I'm afraid of how others may look at me and judge me. Truth is, you can do good in this world, and still be judged. You can be incredibly nice to everyone, and still have people hate you. It took me a long time to finally be okay with this, but for the first time in my life, I honestly feel like I am in total control of my destiny. For the first time in my life, I am actually okay with people not liking me, because frankly, it's virtually impossible to have the whole world like you anyway.

Mother Teresa was a saint, and even she had people who despised her. I'm not saying I'm anything like her, but yeah... you get the point.

How awesome you want this one life to be, is entirely up to you. If you have a goal, do everything within your abilities to reach it. Don't let setbacks define you.
Learn from them. Confront them. Overcome them.

Only you have the power to change your thoughts. Change your thoughts, and you change your destiny.

As William Shakespeare once said, "

"Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them."

I believe in you. :)

Lots of Love,
Sofia Dendroff

Hey all!

So it's 2.15am right now! And I'm down with the flu bug! Been falling sick so easily of late, which is soo annoying since i really can't afford to, because of my job.

My voice has to always be in tip top condition, which also kinda means, no more singing at the top of lungs throughout the house at random times, or indulging in overly spicy food! hahaha , i will miss the latter more, because... spicy food?! who doesn't love that!?

So, quite a few interesting things have happened for me this week. For one, standing in for Daphne's show from 10am to 2pm, earlier this week was a ball of fun since I absolutely love what I do! It's always so heartwarming to hear that people appreciate what you do for them, even if it means, making their day a little brighter by giving them a little shoutout on air, or just playing a song they've requested. Always makes me smile, and it always has, even back in the day when I was 14, and deejaying for my own little set-up radio station on Flatcast to about 40 listeners. Hahah, but more on that some other time hey.

And on Tuesday, I attended probably one of the best events this year yet, the Men's Folio 18th Anniversary & Designer of the year finals in Aura, at the National Gallery Singapore. The event was Hollywood themed which I loved even more, so that meant.... DRESS UP TIME!!
The party was fabulous.. from the food to the free flow of cocktails and whiskeys.... The view was spectacular too, did I mention? I feel like most of us Singaporeans take for granted at times, how beautiful our country really is. We're a well established premier financial hub for Asia, and if you really think about it, Singapore is one of the best places for you to make your riches! Moreover, our nightlife is so vibrant and it's still relatively safe to linger the streets of Singapore even at 2am in the morning.
Sure there isn't any snow... we have a ton of rules, but I appreciate that we have everything that we need within our little city. right? anyone in with me on this? hahaha, anyway here are some pictures from Men's Folio!

My favourite homieee! He's one of the sweetest and most down to the earth celebrities I've ever met! Over the course of a few months we've known each other, I'm really fortunate to know that he always has my interests at heart, and he's grown to be one of my most valued friends. :)
With my Tribeca Management homies, Aric and Tammie right before heading into the party! :)
Matthew, Designer and Founder of DEBONEIRE, and Keagan Kang, Actor/Celebrity
with these beautiful people! My arm looks massive from this angle!!! hahaha
My beautiful red gown from Covetella! :) i love it!!
With Dawn Yang and Owner of Covetella, Carol Chen.
Actor and Actress, Aric and Tammie on the left! Carmen and Daniel on the right :)

It was indeed a really great night! One which ended with me having to take my heels off because my feet hurt too much. Sigh.... why do heels look so beautiful but hurt so much? The price of beauty eh?

On Wednesday, I was at Wala's in Holland village for Daphne Khoo's gig, which was amazing and a whole lotta fun because man, that girl can sing! Many a times in between songs, I found myself really pondering over the lyrics she was singing, because, I could relate. I guess that's what makes an artiste, great? If his or her songs can relate to the audience, you've pretty much, made it! :)

Great night spent with great company!
Here's Justin Bratton playing Skinny Santa, with his little elf, Daphne in the background. Hahaha.

Right after Wednesday, I fell sick, and now I'm down with this throbbing headache and irritating flu, which I'm really hoping will clear up!

Thursday, I was in Tekong for Power 98's Tekong Campshow! That was a ball of fun because all them army boys were soooo hyper and that always gets you feeling all pumped up and energetic! I got to be a part of the hosting event together with JK, Power 98FM (Power breakfast show), and Shu Hui, JIA 88.3FM.

Ohhh and guys, next week, I'll be co-hosting the Power Breakfast Show together with Mike from 6am to 10am since JK will be away on holiday for abit.  So, I'll be on the airwaves during the morning drive time slot from 7th December all the way till the 15th! If you are driving to work in the morning,do tune in to Power 98FM! It's gonna be my first time working together with someone on-air so fingers crossed. Pretty sure it'll be so much fun though! :)

If you don't drive, download our radio app, available on Android and on ios! Search "Power 98fm" and get the app!

So, that's pretty much all the updates I have so far! :)

Power 21 Birthday Bash!!
.....................................................................

Hey guys! So I'm just gonna give a little update about what happened at Power 98's 21st Birthday Bash held at Phuture, Zouk last Friday, 13th November 2015. Back to the 90's, it was!!

It was sooo much fun and I honestly haven't had that much fun in ages. If you know me personally, you'd probably also know that I have left my partying phase far farrr behind. I rarely ever club or y'know party these days. Not because I don't want to, I just don't really have the feels for it as much as I used to y'know? Maybe it's just me growing up and having other priorities in life, like spending time at home with family, going out for brunch with a close friend, or y'know, just chilling at home in mah jammies on a Friday night. Not trying to say i'm boring ahhhhh! I'm always down if there's a good party, of course! d-uh~ hahah

But actually, to be honest, I'm home on weekends because i'm too busy working aka show prepping for my radio show on Sunday morning! Hahaha, and if you didn't already know, I finally got my dream job guys! if you've been following me ever since I was a teenager, in my previous blog(loveinyourarms), which I have privatized for my own viewing.... you'd know that there were many occasions where I have blogged about my dream job, which was to be a radio deejay!
This year, sometime in September, I finally did it! It was the best thing that's ever happened to me thus far!  And I'll tell you this, the feeling of just loving what you do, there's no better feeling than that.

"No Road is Long... When Dreams are Big.... And Sky is the Limit".

So hey, if you've got a dream, don't ever think you can't reach it, because with alot of hardwork, perseverance and determination, you can do anything!

Anyway, moving on to the birthday bash!

Got my makeup done by Roxanne (@makeupbyroxx) right before the party! Thanks so much babe!

Got there at about 6.30pm to meet everybody, ran through the programme briefly, and at 7.30pm, guests started strolling in!

All the radio jocks were introduced on stage one by one(according to shows), and when it was my turn, I don't know what I was thinking... but I don't know why... doing the running man just stood out in my mind, and I tried doing that on stage. HAHA.

After the grand introduction, all the games commenced! There were luckydraws, games like Who wants to be a millionaire, karaoke wars, and The price is right, which I helped co-host with Dee Kosh on stage! :)

And of course, no party is complete without pictures and photobooth-ing! :)

Love this picture of Charmaine, myself and Daphne! mah girllssssssss, they're some of the friendliest people I've met. :)

Was so grateful that Keagan, Lucia and Loretta(who isn't in the picture), came down to the event to support me! I love you guys so much!

FULL SQUAD!! These are the awesome and talented people you hear on radio everyday! The ones who make you laugh, cry, reminisce, smile... the ones who are always gonna be there for you on days you need company. The Power 98FM, radio crew! We are always here for you!!! :D

It was such a great birthday party! Wish it could've been longer though because everybody had to clear out by 10.30-ish. boohoo :(

We need more themed parties for sure! If you were there at the party, we hope you had an amazing time!!

Thanks for reading! Tune in to Power 98FM, every Sunday morning to catch me on-air from 9am to 12pm! I'm always accepting song requests and dedications, so feel free to send them in!

Love you guys! Have a great week.

Lotsaaaa love,
Sofia Dendroff
