Hey all!
So it's 2.15am right now! And I'm down with the flu bug! Been falling sick so easily of late, which is soo annoying since i really can't afford to, because of my job.
My voice has to always be in tip top condition, which also kinda means, no more singing at the top of lungs throughout the house at random times, or indulging in overly spicy food! hahaha , i will miss the latter more, because... spicy food?! who doesn't love that!?
So, quite a few interesting things have happened for me this week. For one, standing in for Daphne's show from 10am to 2pm, earlier this week was a ball of fun since I absolutely love what I do! It's always so heartwarming to hear that people appreciate what you do for them, even if it means, making their day a little brighter by giving them a little shoutout on air, or just playing a song they've requested. Always makes me smile, and it always has, even back in the day when I was 14, and deejaying for my own little set-up radio station on Flatcast to about 40 listeners. Hahah, but more on that some other time hey.
And on Tuesday, I attended probably one of the best events this year yet, the Men's Folio 18th Anniversary & Designer of the year finals in Aura, at the National Gallery Singapore. The event was Hollywood themed which I loved even more, so that meant.... DRESS UP TIME!!
The party was fabulous.. from the food to the free flow of cocktails and whiskeys.... The view was spectacular too, did I mention? I feel like most of us Singaporeans take for granted at times, how beautiful our country really is. We're a well established premier financial hub for Asia, and if you really think about it, Singapore is one of the best places for you to make your riches! Moreover, our nightlife is so vibrant and it's still relatively safe to linger the streets of Singapore even at 2am in the morning.
Sure there isn't any snow... we have a ton of rules, but I appreciate that we have everything that we need within our little city. right? anyone in with me on this? hahaha, anyway here are some pictures from Men's Folio!
My favourite homieee! He's one of the sweetest and most down to the earth celebrities I've ever met! Over the course of a few months we've known each other, I'm really fortunate to know that he always has my interests at heart, and he's grown to be one of my most valued friends. :)
With my Tribeca Management homies, Aric and Tammie right before heading into the party! :)
Matthew, Designer and Founder of DEBONEIRE, and Keagan Kang, Actor/Celebrity
with these beautiful people! My arm looks massive from this angle!!! hahaha
My beautiful red gown from Covetella! :) i love it!!
With Dawn Yang and Owner of Covetella, Carol Chen.
Actor and Actress, Aric and Tammie on the left! Carmen and Daniel on the right :)
It was indeed a really great night! One which ended with me having to take my heels off because my feet hurt too much. Sigh.... why do heels look so beautiful but hurt so much? The price of beauty eh?
On Wednesday, I was at Wala's in Holland village for Daphne Khoo's gig, which was amazing and a whole lotta fun because man, that girl can sing! Many a times in between songs, I found myself really pondering over the lyrics she was singing, because, I could relate. I guess that's what makes an artiste, great? If his or her songs can relate to the audience, you've pretty much, made it! :)
Great night spent with great company! Here's Justin Bratton playing Skinny Santa, with his little elf, Daphne in the background. Hahaha.
Right after Wednesday, I fell sick, and now I'm down with this throbbing headache and irritating flu, which I'm really hoping will clear up!
Thursday, I was in Tekong for Power 98's Tekong Campshow! That was a ball of fun because all them army boys were soooo hyper and that always gets you feeling all pumped up and energetic! I got to be a part of the hosting event together with JK, Power 98FM (Power breakfast show), and Shu Hui, JIA 88.3FM.
Ohhh and guys, next week, I'll be co-hosting the Power Breakfast Show together with Mike from 6am to 10am since JK will be away on holiday for abit. So, I'll be on the airwaves during the morning drive time slot from 7th December all the way till the 15th! If you are driving to work in the morning,do tune in to Power 98FM! It's gonna be my first time working together with someone on-air so fingers crossed. Pretty sure it'll be so much fun though! :)
If you don't drive, download our radio app, available on Android and on ios! Search "Power 98fm" and get the app!
So, that's pretty much all the updates I have so far! :)
I'm gonna rest up and recover from this darn cold now. Have a great weekend, and tune in to my show this Sunday from 9am to 12pm!!! :D Visit www.power98.com.sg to stream the radio online! x
